Nusa Lembongan First Impressions: Hello, Paradise!
The boat ride from Bali is short. It takes about 30 minutes. When you arrive, you see it immediately. The water color changes. It becomes a turquoise blue. It is so clear you can see the fish swimming.
The air feels different too. It is calm and quiet. No loud traffic. Just the sound of the wind and the waves. You take a deep breath. Then you can feel your shoulders relax. Next thing you know, you have arrived in a chill paradise.
The people on the island are very friendly. They smile a lot. They make you feel welcome. The island is small. You can explore it on a scooter. Or you can rent a bicycle. Life moves slowly here. That is the best part.
The Famous Blue Lagoons: A Dream Come True
You have probably seen pictures. The Blue Lagoon on Nusa Lembongan is real. And it is even more beautiful to see it yourself in person.
It is not just a place, but a few stunning spots on the island’s coast. The water is a bright, and so blue. It crashes against the white rock. It looks like a painting.
My favorite spot is the one near Dream Beach. You can stand on the cliff and then look down. Then you’ll can see the view is amazing. The color of the water is very pretty. Not only, it is a perfect place to take photos. But it is also a perfect place to just sit and stare. You can watch the waves for many hours. It is very peaceful.
Please be careful! The cliffs are high and the rocks can be slippery. Always stay behind the safety fences. Your safety is the most important thing.
Beaches for Every Mood
Nusa Lembongan has different beaches. Each one has its own personality.
Dream Beach This is a small, beautiful white sand beach. The waves are strong here. It is not great for swimming. But it is perfect for sunbathing. You can lie on a sunbed and listen to the ocean. There are also cute warungs (small local restaurants) right on the beach. You can drink fresh coconut water here. It is a dream, just like its name.
Mushroom Bay This bay is very calm and protected. The water is gentle here. It is a great place for swimming. You can also see many boats in the bay. The view is very pretty. It is a family-friendly spot.
Sunset Beach Can you guess what happens here? Yes, the sunsets! This beach faces west. It is the best place on the island to watch the sunset. The sky turns orange, pink, and purple. It is a magical show every evening. Go there early to get a good spot.
The Chill Vibes Are Real
What I love most about Nusa Lembongan is the feeling. The “vibes” are so relaxed. People are not in a hurry. Everyone is happy and smiling.
You can spend your day doing nothing. And that is perfectly okay. Read a book in a beachfront cafe. Swim in an infinity pool. Eat fresh seafood for dinner with your feet in the sand.
At night, you will find some fun bars. But it is not a party island like Kuta. The music is chill. People are talking and laughing. It is the right amount of fun.

There is a famous yellow bridge on the island. It connects Nusa Lembongan to its even smaller sister island, Nusa Ceningan. The bridge is cute and wobbly. Only scooters and people can cross it.
Walking across the bridge is fun. You can feel it move a little. From the bridge, you can see the beautiful water on both sides. It is a great photo spot.
