Morning: The Exciting Start

The day started early. Our driver picked us up from our hotel at 8 AM. His name was Made. He had a big, friendly smile. Also he spoke very good English. Surely, he made us feel safe and happy right away.

Moreover, we got into a clean, cool car. Also the drive was part of the fun. First, we left the busy streets of the south. Then, we watched the world change outside the window. Next, we saw tall buildings turn into small shops. Then we saw wide rice fields. The green was so bright. Altogether, it looked like a painting.

In addition, Made told us stories about Bali. He told us about the gods in the mountains. Also he explained the offerings we saw on the street. Truly, it was like having a friend show us his home.

Stop One: The First Wonder

Our first waterfall was called Tegenungan. It is not far from Ubud. We could hear it before we saw it. A loud, happy roar.

We walked down many, many steps. It was a good little workout! But it was worth it. The waterfall was huge and powerful. Water crashed down into a big pool. The mist felt cool on our skin. It was a hot day, so it felt amazing.

We took many photos. After that we dipped our feet in the water. Some people were swimming. The energy of the place was exciting. It was a great first stop.

Stop Two: The Hidden Gem

Next, Made took us to a quieter place. He said, “This one is more special.” It was called Kanto Lampo. This waterfall was different. It was not a straight drop. However it was like a wide, rocky slide.

In the first place, we had to walk over some slippery rocks. Then we held onto a rope for safety. Actually, it was a fun little adventure. Seeing the water flowed over the stones in beautiful sheets. After that, we sat on the rocks and let the water flow over our legs. Honestly, it was so relaxing. Moreover, it felt like a natural water massage.

This spot was less crowded. It felt peaceful and magical.

Lunch Time: A Taste of Bali

After two waterfalls, we were hungry! Made took us to a local warung. A warung is a small, family-owned restaurant. The food was delicious. We had nasi goreng (fried rice) and fresh fruit juice. Then we sat and looked at the jungle. It was the perfect break.

Afternoon: The Grand Finale

The last waterfall was the biggest. It was called Tibumana. We walked down a long path through the jungle. It felt like we were in a movie. The path was lined with big leaves and strange plants. We could hear monkeys calling in the distance.

Then we saw it. Tibumana Falls. It was stunning. A single, elegant stream of water fell from a high cliff into a deep, blue pool. It was quieter than the first waterfall. Actually, it felt more sacred. We swam in the cool, clear water. Then, we floated on our backs and looked up at the waterfall. It was a moment of pure peace.

Going Home: Happy and Tired

We got back into the car. Clearly, we were tired but so happy. Our legs were a little sore from all the steps. But our hearts were full of beautiful memories. The drive home was quiet. We just watched the sunset over the rice fields. It was a perfect end to a perfect day.
