Paragliding Bali puts you airborne from the cliffs of Timbis Beach on the Bukit Peninsula, one of the few spots in Bali where coastal thermals are strong and consistent enough for tandem flights year-round. No experience needed. You fly with a PGAI-certified pilot who handles everything from launch to landing while you take in the view.
The flight lasts around 10 minutes. From the air, you’ll see the Bukit coastline stretch out below, ocean on one side and the green ridgeline on the other, with Pandawa Beach visible in the distance. Every flight includes photo and video coverage, so you don’t have to think about capturing it. Just enjoy the ride.
It starts on the ground. Your pilot runs through a safety briefing, fits you into the harness, and explains what to expect during launch. There’s no complicated technique to learn. When conditions are right, you run a few steps off the cliff edge together and you’re in the air.
The first few seconds are the sharpest. The ground drops away, the wind picks up, and suddenly you’re looking down at the ocean from above Timbis Beach. From there the flight smooths out. You’ll drift along the Bukit coastline, with Pandawa Beach coming into view as you gain altitude. The pilot controls the glider throughout, so you can focus on what’s around you rather than what you’re doing.

All pilots operating at Timbis Beach are certified by PGAI, the official Indonesian paragliding authority, which sets the safety and training standards for tandem flights across the country. Before every flight, you’ll go through a mandatory safety briefing covering harness fit, launch technique, and what to expect in the air.
Weight limit is 40 to 110 kg. Flights are weather-dependent and only go ahead when wind conditions are safe. Equipment is checked before each session. If conditions aren’t suitable on your booking date, your flight will be rescheduled or refunded.
Yes. Tandem paragliding is legal in Bali and regulated by PGAI, the Indonesian paragliding authority. Operators at Timbis Beach are required to hold PGAI certification, which covers pilot training, equipment standards, and flight safety protocols. Flying with a certified operator means you’re covered under the official framework that governs the sport in Indonesia.
Yes. Tandem paragliding bali is designed for people with zero flying experience. You’re strapped into the harness alongside a PGAI-certified pilot who controls the glider from launch to landing. You don’t need to do anything technical. The mandatory safety briefing before your flight covers everything you need to know before you leave the ground.

Morning flights, typically between 8am and 11am, tend to offer the most stable conditions at Timbis Beach. Coastal thermals build through the day and can make afternoon conditions more unpredictable. Your operator will confirm the best available slot when you book based on the forecast for your date.
Flights at Timbis Beach are weather-dependent. If wind conditions are unsafe on your booking date, your flight will be rescheduled to the next available slot or refunded in full. We monitor conditions on the morning of each flight and will contact you as early as possible if there’s a change.
