After the rice fields, we were ready for a snack. Our driver had a great idea. He took us to a coffee plantation.

This was not just any coffee shop. It was a place where they make Luwak coffee. It is a special kind of coffee from Bali.

First, we learned how the coffee is made. Also we saw the cute luwak animals. After that, we got to taste many different teas and coffees. My favorite was the coconut coffee. It was sweet and creamy. The ginger tea was also wonderful. It warmed my body and soul.

The best part? The tasting was free! We sat in a little hut looking at the jungle. It was a perfect, quiet break.

Lunchtime on Ubud Scenic Tour : A Feast with a View

Lunch time! Our driver asked us what we wanted to eat. We said we wanted real Balinese food. And we wanted a great view.

He took us to a restaurant hanging on the edge of a valley. The view was amazing. We could see jungle for miles and miles.

We ate nasi campur, a plate of rice with many different toppings. The taste were amazing. A little spicy, a little sweet. We ate slowly. We enjoyed the food and the beautiful scenery. It was a meal we will never forget.

Afternoon on Ubud Scenic Tour : Into the Sacred Forest

With happy stomachs, we went to our next adventure: the Sacred Monkey Forest.

This is a special forest in the middle of Ubud. It is home to hundreds of long-tailed monkeys. The forest is ancient and magical. Giant trees with roots that look like twisting snakes fill the space.

The monkeys are fun to watch. They play, they sleep, they climb trees. But remember! They are wild animals. Our guide from Bali Touristic told us the rules.

“Keep your sunglasses and hats safe,” he said. “Do not bring food out. The monkeys are very clever!”

We followed the what he told us to do and had no problems. It was amazing to be so close to these playful monkeys. I can feel peaceful and energic at the same time. There are old temples inside the forest too. It is a very spiritual place.

Late Afternoon: Waterfall Wonders

No trip to Ubud is complete without seeing a waterfall. Our driver took us to Tegenungan Waterfall.

We heard the water before we saw it. A loud, powerful roar. We walked down many steps. Then, we saw it. A huge, white curtain of water crashing into a pool below.

The mist from the waterfall felt cool on our skin. It was very refreshing after a warm day. We dipped our feet in the water. Some people were swimming. The energy of the place was exciting and alive.

We stood there for a long time. We just watched the water flow. It reminded us of the power of nature.

Evening on Ubud Scenic Tour: A Calm and Quiet Ending

The sun began to set. It was time to go back. We were tired but very happy. Our hearts were full of beautiful memories.

The drive back was quiet. First, we looked out the window at the passing villages. Then, we saw families sitting together. Next, we smelled the evening incense. It was a perfect end to a perfect day.
